Electric Actuator

Electric Actuator

An Electric Actuator converts electrical energy into mechanical movement to operate a valve automatically. Depending on the actuator and valve configuration, it can provide quarter-turn or multi-turn operation, allowing valves to be opened, closed or positioned without direct manual intervention.

Electric actuators are particularly useful in installations where valves are difficult to access, require frequent operation, form part of an automated process, or need to be controlled remotely.

The pictured actuator incorporates a manual handwheel, allowing manual operation where required, together with an electric drive and control enclosure.

When correctly matched to the valve and application, electric actuation provides dependable operation and can be integrated into plant control and automation systems.
