A Float Valve automatically controls liquid entering a tank or reservoir according to the level of the liquid.
The valve is mechanically connected to a float by a lever arm. As the liquid level rises, the float rises with it and progressively operates the valve towards the closed position. When the liquid level drops, the float lowers and allows the valve to reopen, replenishing the tank.
This simple mechanical operation provides an effective method of automatic level control without requiring electrical power or a separate control system.
The pictured model features a large float and extended lever arm together with a flanged valve connection, making it suitable for water storage, industrial tanks and similar level-control applications.
