An Electric Actuated Butterfly Valve combines a butterfly valve with an electrically powered actuator to provide automated opening and closing of the pipeline.
The butterfly valve controls flow through a rotating disc positioned within the flow path. The electric actuator rotates the valve shaft through approximately 90°, moving the disc between the open and closed positions. Depending on the actuator and control configuration, intermediate positioning may also be possible for flow-control applications.
This arrangement eliminates the need for routine manual valve operation and is particularly useful for remote installations, automated processes and valves that require frequent or controlled operation.
The pictured model features a wafer-style butterfly valve, electric actuator and manual override, providing both automated operation and local manual control when required.
